2 cups sugar
2 cups Flour
2 sticks margarine
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup water
½ sour milk-buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon salt
In a saucepan, bring margarine, cocoa, and water to a boil, gradually add the flour and sugar. In another bowl combine milk, soda, beaten eggs, and vanilla,completely mix, then add to the first mixture.
Pour into a greased 17x11 inch jelly roll pan. Bake 20-22 minutes in a 400 degreee oven.
Icing for Texas Sheet Cake
1 stick margarine
4 Tablespoons cocoa
1/3 cup of milk 19 oz (4 cups) confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup walnuts
Bring margarine, cocoa, and milk toa boil, add the confectioners sugar and mix well. Add vanilla and walnuts, spread on warm cake. Looks like brownies, but is a cake…Serve with ice cold milk….Yummy
