Ginger Spice Cookies

Mix together:
3/4 C. shortening 1 egg, unbeaten
1 C. sugar 1/4 C. molasses


Then sift together and stir in:
2 C. flour 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. powdered cloves
1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. Powdered ginger


Now mix all ingredients together, form into walnut-sized balls, roll in white granular sugar. Place them two inches apart on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375oF for ten to twelve minutes.
